About us
- In 1969, our company was founded in the heart of Kannenbäckerland, which is known throughout Germany and abroad for its ceramics industry and Europe's largest clay deposits. Since then, we have steadily developed ourselves and are known both at home and abroad as a supplier of high-quality ceramic raw materials, frits and self-developed glazes.
- We attach particular importance to the technical support of our customers as well as the development of innovative own materials and formulations. All raw materials offered by us are thoroughly tested in our laboratory. We co-operate with local clay mining companies.
History and Career
Managing Director
After studying art in Istanbul, I came to Germany to attend the State College of Ceramics, which had and has an excellent reputation both at home and abroad. The prerequisite for being accepted at the school was a one-year internship with the renowned company Marzi & Remy.
Then followed the study at the State College of Ceramics.
I further developed my professional knowledge by working for several years in the R & D department of the wall and floor slab factory of Servais-Werke in Witterschlick-Bonn.
After having filed for two patents (for red-matte Selenium glaze and cadmium-yellow glaze), I founded Baykara Glaze & Colors GmbH in Ransbach-Baumbach, which produced engobes, paints and glazes for ceramic factories on an area of 4200 m².
Historical
A short time later followed the acquisition of the Keller GmbH, factory for the production of enamel and ceramic frits, in 35764 Sinn. The frits and enamel produced there I used in my own glaze formulations, after I had them grinded at the company Helmut Kreutz Mahlwerke.
In addition to our production of ceramic coulours, we began marketing our composite ceramic glazes to European wall and floor tile manufacturers as well as ceramic ornament manufacturers.
Shortly thereafter, we also began to export to Turkey for the first time. Our first client was the group Canakkale Seramik, followed by Kütahya Seramik and Sögütsen Seramik. After that, our clientele grew in Turkey.
Until 1998 we worked successfully on this basis in Germany and Turkey.
Year 2000 to Today
Task of own production and concentration on the distribution of ceramic raw materials at home and abroad.
Our in-depth knowledge and years of experience in the ceramic sector benefit our customers today in many ways. We provide technical support in all ceramic areas and develop our own formulations, glazes and fritters, which we produce in contract work.
In our development and testing laboratory, we develop new ceramic products, where we also test all the materials before we offer them to our customers.
